Young people voluntarily conduct research and analysis for weeks on end—and actually have fun doing it?

The NATEX competition, a citywide science and technology competition in Hamburg, makes it possible.

78 students from Phorms Hamburg participated this year.
Thirty-four of them were awarded third place for their research projects.

NATEX serves as a catalyst for sustainable learning in the STEM fields. The students test, observe, and document—doing exactly what scientific work is all about.

Future Skills Through STEM
STEM subjects are among the key competencies of the future, as they foster logical thinking and problem-solving skills. It is precisely these abilities that develop through trial and error—and, of course, through curiosity.

Experiences like NATEX help young people see themselves as competent and effective in STEM fields. They learn how exciting it can be to formulate their own hypotheses, interpret data, and draw conclusions from it.

And along the way, they may discover that STEM isn’t just for “tech nerds,” but a field full of possibilities for creative, curious minds.
