Your Responsibilities

  • Planning of appropriate and competence-oriented lessons in Biology and Chemistry based on the given curricula for grades 7–12, with a particular focus on upper secondary (grades 11–12)
  • Create motivating, hands-on and practically oriented lessons that foster scientific thinking through continuous experimentation and inquiry-based learning
  • Inspire students through a strong enthusiasm for experiments and real-world scientific contexts
  • Assessment of students work, including creation and correction of performance records and issuing of report marks
  • Creating a positive, supportive and welcoming learning environment in the classroom
  • Organisation, implementation and follow-up of parent-teacher conferences and parent-teacher meetings
  • Enriching teaching with digital media
  • Participation in school events, departmental meetings and team meetings to help continuingly develop the school

Your Profile

  • Qualified secondary school teacher with a Master’s degree (e.g. Biology/Chemistry, Science, Secondary Education or equivalent), or a PGCE/PGDE with QTS
  • Proven classroom teaching experience in Biology and Chemistry, ideally in a secondary school setting
  • Motivation to strengthen and further develop the scientific profile of our school
  • Interest in developing and implementing pedagogical concepts that support individual student growth
  • Confidence and curiosity in using modern tools such as AI and digital media to enhance learning and differentiation
  • Commitment to our bilingual, student-centred educational approach
  • Enjoyment of collaborating within the upper secondary team and taking on shared responsibilities

About Us

Our German-English Phorms Campus Berlin Mitte is conveniently located in the heart of the city. A nursery, a primary school and a secondary school are all located under one roof - a total of 930 children and young people currently learn and play together within an interna-tional campus community. The framework for our international orientation is our bilingual concept, which we implement according to the immersion method. Alongside the charming brick building, the special features of our location are the family-like atmosphere and the kind-hearted spirit. The campus also offers two gyms, a theatre hall and a library flooded with light.
Phorms Berlin Mitte is part of the Phorms Education SE network of bilingual schools and nurseries, that has been enriching the educational landscape in Germany since 2006.

Application Process

  • How can I apply and what documents should I include with my application?

    The easiest way to apply is directly through our careers page. Simply click the “Apply Now” button for the job advertisement that interests you and fill out the form.
