Thursday, June 15th will go down as a huge success for the students of our Secondary School. Each and every student put so much effort into the whole event which made for a competitive, entertaining and fun day.
Students arrived in anticipation for a day of athletic competition and were quickly sent to their staring events. All students competed in 100 m, 800/1000 m, High Jump, Shott Putt, and Long Jump. There were a number of memorable performances but a special mention goes to S. B. in Grade 10 who set a new school record in the High Jump at 1.53 meters. Another special mention goes to L. B. in Grade 9 who later that day equaled that record.
After a very pleasant group lunch it was time to add all the scores together for each grade to find our winners and present them with the medals at our end of day awards ceremony.
A big congratulations to our medalists and to all the students competed on this day. A special thanks goes to the Grade 11 students and Secondary School staff who assisted Mr Robertson throughout the day to ensure a smooth SportFest 2017.
