Science Trip to Deutsches Museum

Date:
Campus Munich

Physics, measurements, electricity as energy and flying machines.

On the 30th November, Year 5 went to the Deutsche Museum as a way of understanding all about 'how science works'.
We saw the telescope that first discovered Saturn!

We had lots of fun using old measurements to  weigh the mass of the class in kg (which was about 450 kg!) and using equipment to investigate how velocity and speed changes with weights.

We tried flying using pedals and a steering wheel and generated our own electricity on a bicycle.

The lightning show was amazing and showed the effect of varying numbers of volts.

Overall we had a great day at the Museum and can not wait until next time!
