To celebrate Halloween this year, we would like to launch our bi-monthly Food Phorms Fusion additions to the school blog.
We will regularly contribute recipes, anedotes, learning resources, or films and photos! These are our scary food masks; created by Phorms students for their own film, written and produced during our Project Days in the 2016/17 school year. The film premiered at the Phorms Summer Party in July 2017….
The perfect gothic-looking setting for the film was the not-yet-renovated new section of the school, which created a haunted, Halloween-like atmosphere.
The students were very excited to visit this unknown section of the Phorms school building; which we are proud to say has since been completely renovated and turned into a wonderful new education facility!
The film’s title is: A Special Meeting in German: Eine Besondere Begegnung. It is based on a metaphor of strangeness and fear (therefore the food masks).
The narrative of the film is transported by both masked characters and unmasked characters. After a first scary confrontation, a feeling of angst; doubting the new and unknown; the characters’ fears dwindle and are finally overcome.
