Aktionstag „Zu Fuß zur Schule"

Date:
Campus Berlin Süd

On Thursday 21st September, the students of PHORMS Süd took part in the action day to walk, bike, or even skateboard to school.

With a beautiful morning for being outside, many students made an amazing effort to walk from their homes to the school or at least a portion of the journey. Preferring to ditch the car and get their walking shoes on, the Gymnasium totaled 367 kilometers between all students. That's like walking from Berlin to Bremen. Amazing!

As part of the day the class with the highest average of km travelled could win a smoothie making class. After a close competition between 3 classes (only half a km between each of them) this years winners were Year 8b, who averaged 6.3 km per student. Well done to them. They spent their afternoon making delicious smoothies and had great fun experimenting with different mixtures of fruit. A fun and healthy award for a fantastic effort.

I hope all the students enjoyed their walk to school and will be encouraged to do this more often.
