Christmas Show 2015

Datum:
Campus Hamburg

Year One: Snowman at Sunset

A few weeks have past since the Christmas shows, but sometimes I can still hear the children singing the songs, and the snow is now beginning to fall. Year One worked extremely hard to put on their performance, and definitely looked and sounded absolutely amazing - from their costumes through to their singing. Starting off their show with Look at the Snowflakes, the boys turned in to Snowmen, while the girls danced as Snowflakes under the direction of Miss Sari. Other songs in the show included, Ten Tubby Snowmen; We’ve a Snowman to Make; The Angry Song; That’s a Job for Us, finishing with the title song, A Snowman at Sunset. The story revolved around the theme teamwork, as this year, very little snow fell, and there was just enough snow to make one snowman. The children definitely demonstrated super teamwork during this magical performance!

Years 2-4: Countdown to Christmas

The title song opened the show, with beautiful singing and dancing from Years two and three to support the super acting from Year four. Non performing students were always on hand doing jobs like; stage prompts, front and backstage prop directors; front and backstage directors, and helping organise everybody to be ready for their next starring moment. The story revolved around the Moss Family. Mrs Moss was a very stressed mum who had a list as long as her arm, with preparing everything ready for Christmas. Help was at hand by her Fairy Clockmother, a team of Festive Decorators, and a Greek Restaurant. The show was moved along with regular appearances from our very own child MC, as well as Tick and Tock. Songs included, Christmas Hit; Holly and Mistletoe; We’re Going Shopping; Time to Sleep; Enjoy My Christmas Dinner with a final song, After Christmas. Not only was the show an amazing success, but the rehearsals were filled with lots of fun and laughter.
Here are some quotes from students about the show:

My best part was when I could play my violin, because I like to play violin.
I enjoyed the Greek dance because we were all on stage together, and some of us will leave at the end of year four.
I enjoyed doing my rap because I was practicing so hard and because everyone enjoyed my rap.
I learnt how to be organised.
I learnt how to use the head mic.
I learnt how to manage and be responsible.
I learnt how to overcome the fear of performing.
The music was cool!
I learnt that we have to be quiet backstage.
I learnt how to help others.
